Skies of gunmetal and mother-of-pearl
A change of climate, a change of heart
A sensual storm in a decaying world
Faces of anguish on every page of every book
Traces of you and me everywhere I look
I made this one for you, my inquisitor

Crimson pieces of poetry
Born of passion and savagery
If I don't yet know it, I will learn
Sanguine songs of tormenting lust
Of deprivation and mistrust
In an everlasting fire I will burn
As much as it hurts me to say
Longing can drive you wild or drive you away
These halls of pain will whisper your name while crumbling to dust
These walls of rain will eventually cover my face in rust
